Our Aviation Medicine department comprises three Aviation Medical Examiners, sometimes referred to as AMEs (Approved or Aviation Medical Examiners). AMEs are medical doctors who have been audited and approved to carry out special aviation medical examinations, such as those required by air traffic controllers, commercial pilots, private pilots and cabin crew. Aviation Medical Examiners are certified to assess your fitness to fly or to work in safety critical positions in aviation. The aim of the aeromedical examiner is not to “fail” you but to help you perform safely and know how specific health conditions may impact on your ability to perform your tasks.
Our medical clinic in Jumeirah is a GCAA approved centre and has been conducting GCAA aviation medicals as per the regulatory requirements since 2001. As part of our services, we also conduct aviation medicals for various international aviation authorities (CASA, CAA/EASA and FAA). We also handle Sport Pilot / Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) Medicals.
