St. John Baptist de la Salle Mission Statement
We, the Parish Community of Saint John Baptist de la Salle recognize that we are chosen by Christ and have as our mission to bring forth the fruits of the True Vine in response to the needs of our Parish Community through the recognition of active Parish Organizations and the cultivation of persons and groups not yet sharing in the mystery of the True Vine, Jesus Christ.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit, because without me, you can do nothing” -- John 15:5

Friendly appeal from Fr. Ramon Valera
Beloved Parishioners of St. John Baptist de la Salle, greetings of peace and good health to you all. With the outbreak of the current public health emergency we are all terribly affected. The announcement of Archbishop Jose Gomez dispensing all the Catholic Faithful of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles from attending Sunday Mass on March 28-29, likewise is affecting our parish finances since all of our Masses have been cancelled. However, I am appealing to you all to please continue supporting our Parish by dropping off your Sunday Envelopes and donations at the Parish Office. During off office hours, you may still drop off your donations through the opening slot of the Office back doors. I am truly grateful for all your continued support for our parish.
Since All Masses have been suspended and we cannot come to Church, it is highly suggested that we pray at the comfort of our homes as prayer is our most powerful weapon we all possess. Let us pray for one another, healthy and sick, local and around the globe, that Jesus, our Good Shepherd, will deliver us from this crisis. I assure you of my prayers and blessing for good health and protection from any illness especially the coronavirus that afflicts us at the present time. May God bless you all.
