In the lallantop Show, Saurabh Dwivedi discusses the recent comment of the honorable Supreme Court on the reservation. On April 23, Supreme Court observed - it is very hard for an elected government to have the "political will" to meet the challenges arising out of the reservation scenario wherein neither the lists of those entitled have been reviewed nor the quota provisions have come to an end. The Supreme Court has quashed a January 2000 order of the erstwhile state of Andhra Pradesh that provided 100 per cent reservation to Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates for the post of teachers in schools in the scheduled areas. While explaining this decision, Saurabh Dwivedi discusses the pro and cons of current reservation system.
