Team Fortress 2 doesn't have a major content update the size of Jungle Inferno in development right now. Instead, it seems that the idea of Team Fortress has mutated in the offices of Valve 2.0. What is left for the game? What can the community expect from the future of their beloved franchise? What can the community do?
They can do a lot in fact, and have been picking up the slack of the TF team. New content is here, it's everywhere, it's free, it's just in a different place.
