On September 11, the teachers at Children's Discovery Daycare at 5 World Trade Center, less than 100 yards from ground zero, were given the test of a lifetime. When the first plane hit one of the Twin Towers, the teachers saw the smoke and debris and sprang to action to lead all the children to safety. In 2001, the heroic teachers appeared on "The Oprah Show" to recount how they saved the lives of the children in their charge on that horrific day.
